Question about giving a useful gift for a friend travelling abroad. Any ideas?

One of my best friends will be travelling to Egypt this December for two weeks. I'd really like to give her something useful/fun/original for a bon voyage gift. She loves travelling and has gone all over the world, and I want her to know she will be missed while she's away. Any ideas?

  1. Buy her a small travel journal and fill out the first page with a personal note. I was given this once and use it on all my trips...I've also given one as a travel gift ever since!

    Or...buy her a digital camera... :D


  2. sunglasses.  need to protect them eyes from the sun to avoid cancer and whatnot... but she may already have a new pair.....  but anyone can use a new, sport one. if not, then buy her hiking shoes.
