  1. i slept through my labor after i got my epidural.all i felt was pressure when i was pushing,no pain..good luck

  2. ofcourse it will hurt :) but its also not as bad as you may think. breathing and being relaxed as you can is the key.

I have had 4 babies all with no epidurals, as I personally did not want one as the risks to me is not worth it and also you arnt incontrol.

  3. Yes of course its painful when your giving birth. I had an epidural when i gave birth too and it was a VERY good method of pain relief, i also fell asleep towards the end of my 17 hour labor...You do not feel contractions when you have an epidural (i still felt pressure though)...The only problem i found with the epidural is i couldnt feel when are where to push (so i had to have forcepts) also my left leg was numb for hours afterwards so i couldnt stand and last of all you have to have a caphiter fitted which is not very pleasent...

The epidural was also good for afterwards when i had to be stiched up i felt nothing...

    Good Luck!!
