Why do my eyes hurt so much when I don't wear them? My prescription is very very mild and I don't have to wear them all of the time, but if I don't wear them, my eyes hurt so much. I don't understand how wearing glasses can make someone's eyes hurt less. can someone explain this to me? thanks =]

  1. This happens to me too.

It just makes your eye see different then when u take off your glasses your eyes are like ummm what the hek is goin on! haha sorry i dont know much about the exact reason why but  heres a tip

right b4 you take off your glasses close your eyes for 5 seconds then take off your glasses while your eyes are closed...it helps me :)

    good luck

  2. they let the light enter your eyes and hit your retina at a better angle so as you can see better, and if you wear your glasses, your eyes don't strain and relax, but then you take them off, you have to adjust to the change and strain your eyes to see, therefore causing them to hurt more...

  3. They may make it unnecessary fir your eyes to strain all day long.  They may relieve muscle strain.
