Question about god???

OK usually christians seem to have 3 theories on why something bad happens either

a. it's god's plan

b. he's punishing someone for their sins

c. god didn't do it

and yet god also gets credit for all of the good things. so please explain this to me.

Nearly a year ago a woman had a baby. So god gets credit for a healthy beautiful baby, right? But three weeks later the mother decides to put the child in the microwave and watch to see if the kid explodes like an egg. So why? Was it just god's plan to have this child burn to death? Why not plan on having her die from SIDS or something seemingly less painful?

Was it not god's fault? Was it satan? Does god only get credit for good things that happen?

Or was this 3 week old baby being punished for her sins?

  1. No no no no no no no no!

God brings us pain and suffering because he wants us 2 understand he is in control! He has a plan 4 everyone and u must understand that!

God created u, so y not fear his power and love him 4 sending his son 2 die on the Cross so we could have a choice of devoting our lives 2 him and allowing him 2 guide our lives!

  2. Believing in God is like believing in SANTA CLAUS!  When will silly believers make this OBVIOUS connection that they are one in the same!  Did Santa heal anyone?  NO!  So why would God heal anyone???  It's just obvious!

  3. Sounds pretty bad.  I guess the answer is:  no invisible Sky-Daddy is in charge.  People have to expend REAL effort in the REAL world to increase human knowledge and comfort for all.  The old religious way of doing things would merely say this woman "has an evil spirit" and leave it at that until some long-haired prophet can spank her cheek.   That's too hit-and-miss for me, thank goodness for Atheism and science...

  4. No..it's not Gods fault...God created human beings and gave them free will to do what they want...either: believe in him and follow his rules, live a good life etc or.. worship the devil, lead a sinful/ carefree life. It's up 2 us as human beings to choose the right way. If a Human Being chooses to do sinful things like "killing her child"...that is their decision. Its up to her to see that it is wrong or bad..God gave that a person a "brain" and they should use it properly...God created sensible beings he doesn't want to have to control everything you do. If that was the case...we'd all be living a holy life wouldn't we and we'd all be going to heaven- because God forced us to. He just wants to teach us a lesson and learn from our mistakes...just like a normal parent would do. Just so that when he does finally come for us we are willing to be taken.. not by force..but by our own free will.

  5. to God all things are perfectly natural, ...

  6. See what a lot of people forget about is a little thing God gave us called 'free will'

  7. if you want to criticize Jesus , at least you should read the bible instead of inventing theories that got nothing to do with Jesus. shame on you

  8. Truthfully, I think that if God exists and is all powerful, he is sick and demented.

My cousin-in-law had leukemia as a child, and survived. His entire family credits God - not the team of world class doctors working round-clock at the nations best cancer center - or his treatment of state-of-the-art stem cells.

They say that God made him sick so that we would be better people - I think that this hypothetical God, if he/she/it existed, would be twisted to do this to people.

Imagine if a human gave someone AIDS so that they would be a better person - They would be put in prison, if not a mental hospital!!

I think I heard this story about the microwave, and people like that sicken me. God did not put the baby there, the woman did not do God's orders, and God was not present. It was just a mental ill mother, with God not belonging to any part of the equation, or of any equation in anything for that matter.

  9. Its the mother's fault. Seriously, people really need to stop blaming God for every bad thing that happens in the world. How about blaming the unstable lunatics that live in our world?

  10. The simple fact of the matter is, to christians, god can't lose, no matter what happens. It's a primary symptom of their delusional way of thinking.
