My wife and I are going on a cruise to Mexico on December. My question is if I need a visa (not the credit card) to go to Mexico even though I am a U.S. citizen...? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  1. You will need an original copy of your birth certificate or a passport.  You do not need a visa, except maybe the credit card.  :-)

  2. Do you mean a passport? You only need a visa to stay in another country for long term. Such as a school visa to attend school there, or a work visa to work there. You don't need anything more than ID and copy of your birth cert to get into Mexico until 2007, after which you will need a passport to enter the country.

    Have fun!

  3. When I was out in California, I didn't need anything but an I.D. to get into Mexico and I went every weekend.

  4. no visa

  5. no, you only need a valid ID, like your birth certificate or you drivers licence. If you have a passport it would be fine also.
