Question about going out to eat and prices?

My husband and I went out to eat mexican food tonight and each of us had a buffet dinner and him and I both got 2 medium cokes for our drink. When the waitress came by our table, she asked me if I wanted a refill and I asked her if she could put my drink in a to-go cup so I could bring it with me. She came back with the cup and our receite and showed where she had charged us for both drinks and she charged us again for the to-go cup. Why did she charge me extra when she had already charged me for a drink and refills were free.

you answered your own question.  you were charged for the TO GO CUP.  how much was the extra charge?

A simple mistake you can easily get the difference refunded if youre nice with manager

Because a buffet is all you can eat.....not all you can take with you. Refils are free as long as you drink them in the restaurant, just like the food, you don't get to take a to go box home for free from the buffet.
