Question about gold chains attached to your teeth

i had surgery on my teeth to get ready for braces next month and he stitched this gold chain that was hooked onto a tooth that hasnt come out yet

but im beginning to worry because the chain is just hanging from my gum now and im afraid that it might come off while im asleep or something

my next visit will be next week with the orthodontist who will be putting my braces on; should i wait till then? it's reallyy weird having that chain just hanging off

That gold chain is glued to a tooth under your gum - unless it comes unattached from that tooth it will not come loose.  If it does come loose and you swallow it. It will not hurt you.  Gold Is compatible with your body. Hoped I helped you a little :)

Call the dentists office that put the chain on and explain how it is hanging down.   They will know if you should wait until next week or if it is not a good idea to wait that long.    If it was that way since the beginning,  it's probably fine.    If something has changed they may want to put it back the way it was.   Either way they don't mind if you call and ask.
