  1. Women's Golf Balls have a lower Compression to accommodate for the slower swing speed.

  2. Lower compression. Makes the ball go farther for those with slower swing speeds. And, as many men have discovered, the feature works for them too!

  3. They have a lower compression to compensate the slower swing speed (or club head speed).  This allows the ball to go further, but does make it slightly harder to control.  Seniors also often use these lower compression balls.

Men do not because although it would give them a little more distance, a club head at a very high speed would be very hard to consistently control.  That's why you see women golfers who are talented take very slow and smooth swing which often allows them to obtain the appropriate swing more consistently.

Good luck and keep on playing,

  4. Womens balls are softer, but harder to control with a high swing speed. Men's balls are harder and a little jumpier off of the driver and putter.
