Question about heaven ?

If there's an atheist whose a really good person in general, and when i say really good, I mean REALLY good.

Do they still go to h**l?

There are many roads that lead to h**l, but only one road that leads to Heaven. The Bible says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, you and your household." Acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is the only way to get into Heaven. No one is "good" enough. So yes, an atheist will go to h**l. I hope that person changes their mind and recognizes their need for their sins to be forgiven, that way they can enter heaven.

The Christian answer is yes, they don't believe in Sky Daddy, therefore eternal damnation.

My UU logic: No truly loving god would send it's children to any kind of h**l. Does a parent not still love their child even though they might have robbed a store, drove drunk, or hurt someone? Yes, because that is your child.

well according to christianity, yes, because christians say the only way to get into heaven is to believe in jesus.

but an atheist doesn't even believe in heaven or h**l, so he or she isn't even going to worry about it.

No. h**l was invented by preachers who want to "scare people straight." Modern theology is way off course... especially on the subject of h**l. More on my bio.

I think they would, yes. Because I suppose to God, not believing in him is a sin in itself.

The first Christians all believed that Jesus' sacrifice was perfect. Everyone goes to heaven, no matter what you believe.

I'm not sure what being an atheist has to do with going to Detroit.  I suppose if the atheist chose to go to Detroit, they should be able to find ample means of transportation.

I bet they wouldn't think so...  People honestly make the mistake of thinking that doing good things warrants them a place in heaven.  I would ask, according to who's judgment?  The only being fit to judge a person is one who sees their every action, their every thought, their every word, and every other detail I left out.  That one is God.  The atheist can not accept this in his present condition, but if it's true he'll have no choice in the matter.  To this day, Jesus was the only human being in all of history that is believed by many to have been completely blameless, and He did something that not even the best of us can do, unless of course you believe David Spangler.

All things are posible with God, but then it is impossible to be a really really good atheiest.

thats really hard to answere. its contravertial, but i am lds and i believe that to go to heaven you need to believe in jesus and that he died for our sins, and be baptized. here is more info.

After you are resurrected, you will be judged and rewarded for the things you have done in this life.  Your loving Heavenly Father is anxious to reward all of His children according to their obedience to His commandments? and their willingness to follow the Savior.

"every knee shall bow"...every knee means every knee, including athiest knees

"Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ"..."any man have not" includes athiest as well as every human being on Earth...so if any athiest have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his(Gods)...so if athiest are none of Gods, Do you think God will let any athiest good or bad into his kingdom......NO!!!

How to recieve salvation

ACTS 2:37 "Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call."

No one is a good person in God's eyes. Nobody is good but God. God is so good that he sent a sin offering into the world to save us from eternal h**l. If we dont accept that sin offering then we will go to h**l. Once again, not one of us is good. So it doesnt matter who you think is good, no one is declared good unless they follow Christ in God's eyes. Otherwise they are a condemned sinner. For all have sinned and falled short of the glory of God.

The father told his sons to go work in the vineyard.  One said, "I will" and didn't.  The other said, "I won't," but did.  Which one obeyed?  Actions speak louder than words- even, perhaps, if the words are, "I don't believe that you exist."  

Some people are atheists because they can't, in good conscience, believe in God the way they understand Him.  They may be completely wrong about the character of God, and perhaps God doesn't hold that against them.  However, some atheists willfully mischaracterize God as an insane monster.  But that's not atheism.  Such people are responding to God as if he *did* exist.  

A really good person is still not good enough to get to heaven based on how good they were.  Jesus has to cover their sins, and an atheist that absolutely refuses to believe in Jesus may not have that option.  But God isn't going to let anyone slip away without a fight though.  We may not know the inner argument that such a person has with God.    

It is possible to be lost.  The Bible says that "love covers a multitude of sins."  God does look at a person's life as a sign of what's in their heart.  So, the answer is, I don't know.  Satan, in his capacity as the accuser, would argue that all atheists can't be saved.  I won't argue that.  In the end, God will make the decision, case by case.

There wasn't anyone without sin but Jesus. No one is perfect. All miss the mark.

God provided the way to heaven, for free- thru Christ, it isn't reward based on our "merit points",  lest any man should boast.

Jesus gave some parables about it- workers who came in at the last hour of the day got paid as much as the ones who worked since the beginning.  

God treats us all equally, when it comes to heaven. We all must have Christ- it's not based on how much "good" we did.  It's based on what are ARE.  We are either born from above or we are not.

The Bible explains that God requires that people need to learn about and have faith in God as well as practice clean moral standards.  So an atheist will not recieve everlasting life.  However, an atheist or anyone else,  will not go to h**l, h**l is not a Bible teaching.  It's a long discussion of its own, but basically the parts of the Bible that are understood as eternal torment are rather, eternal destruction.  Evil people will cease to exist so that the righteous can live on a perfect Earth.

Because of Adam and Eve's decision to disobey God, their act of rebellion caused us to inherit the sin nature, and death.  Because of this sin nature, humans have become separated from God.  None of us are without sin.

The sin nature is what we are born with and sinning is what we do because of this nature. They can be thoughts such as lust and hate or, they can be actions such as fornication, adultery, murder, lies, steeling, coveting or etc.

Jesus, who is God in the flesh and never sinned, came to the earth to die, to forgive us of our sins and to remove the sin nature which brings us back into the original fellowship with God that He intended for us from the start. This is accomplished through Jesus' death on the cross for our sins, to take our place for the eternal death and punishment that we deserve.

Our goodness can't remove this nature. Only through repentance and acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and our Savior, can His sacrifice apply to us.  Jesus gives us the free gift of salvation, because of His sacrificial death which was to save us from that sin nature and h**l.  He gives us eternal life because of His  forgiveness and His resurrection from that death.

Jesus is alive and is now King of Kings and Lord of Lords and is the head of His church, the body of Christ, Christians.  He wants a personal relationship with us.
