Question about hitting in MLB 2k8

Question

with swing stick 2.0 it says to pull back the stick and let go for contact but when i do do that it does nothing i have to push the stick up can any one help??

using the 2.0 stick, you have to use the analog stick, when you see the pitch coming, pull the analog stick to you and then when the ball is over the plate, push it away from you. hope this helps

yeah you have to push back up i learned it the hard way

all i do is pull back when the pitchers foot hits the ground and push up and i get every kind of hit no special contact or power swing, just timing.
