Question about hooking my tv up to my computer?

I am trying to hook my computer up to my TV. I have it in the S-Video on the tv and the desktop background? I can only get "extent my windows desktop on to this monitor". The other option to use as primary monitor is grayed out I have a ATI Mobility Radeon X300.

Have you got the ATI catalyst drivers installed or are you just using the Windows default drivers? (Right click the desktop, and ATI Catalyst Control Center should be one of the options on the menu that pops up if you have the correct drivers installed.)

With the Catalyst Control Center you should be able to configure the display to give you what you want.
