hiya my mum says on her work email (rbs) you can get a confirmation email to say if someone has read your email is there anyway of doing this on msn hotmail?? any secret tool bar or something that i cant find? cheers k

  1. I'm sorry the Intranet answer is not correct. But correct in saying that you can't get a read receipt via Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail as they are web based mail systems.

    What you could do if you have Microsoft Office's "Outlook" is to use this to send and receive your emails and then you would have the receipt facility. Sadly it is quite difficult to do with Hotmail as you have to synchronize folders and can't use pop3 nor smtp, which is allowed with the other two web mail systems  


  2. No your mother is using an "intranet" system at work. Hotmail uses the "Internet" and the facility is not on Hotmail.
