  1. Maybe an air purifier would help.

They come in all price ranges.

I'd trust a model rated by Consumer Reports.

  2. get a new house

    YAY! two points!

  3. the problem is that there is always dust in the air. When you wipe the dust (and some of it you only succeed in disturbing) more of it settles. Some air cleaners (or, possibly, ioniser) might be effective in clearing dust from the air.

Carpets and human skin contribute to a lot of the dust.

Well - I don't know if any of that will help but Good Luck and Wishing you a Very Happy Friday and a Merry New Weekend!

  4. Almost impossible, isn't it?  LOL!  Especially if you have a forced air heating/cooling system.  That blowing air circulates and deposits dust in a hurry.  I have dark furniture and it seems like there is always dust.  The longest I ever seemed to go without seeing dust right away is when I used the Method wood furniture cleaner and the microfiber cloth that they make to go with it.  Of course that doesn't help dark painted furniture, but the rest of the stuff looked nice for a while.

  5. use a soft cloth and a dusting product like Pledge. (I do not recommend those "microfiber dusting wands" they've never worked well for me) Also make sure that your vents are clean as dirty vents keep air from circulating properly. If you have a bunch of people moving around or   a very small place, you're just going to have to dust more often.
