i have a 55 gallon tank (long) what is the best way to make a tank like this look nice?? its about a foot wide at the most, and i want to put a nice piece of land in it for my two turtles to go on at the same time. right now i have a stack of bricks with a rock on the top. i feel bad because i think they are not happy with the set up i have given them. they are both about 5in wide and 6 in long if that matters.

  1. They have already outgrown the tank. Instead of wasting your money on decor (which the turtles couldn't care less about), start saving for a larger tank. One thing you can do to make more room in the meantime is to make a basking area outside the tank. Support a box on the rim of one end plus something to hold up the clsed end of the box. Replace the bricks and rock with a ramp leading up to the box. You'll have to keep the turtles from using the ramp and box to escape the tank. Eventually, those turtles will require a tank of 120 gallons or more.

  2. well i got a red ear slider (water turtle). I'm not sure if yours are land or water but i just got this filter at petsmart and it is perfect for waterfalls and if you put rock in front of it correctly it'll look really nice. There is an example on the cover. If i remember correctly it is 19.99 and it is great but im not sure if it would fit ur tank... you could just have it for the waterfall then have like a sand beach area with rocks on the water bottom. that would look cool. i also got a red infered light and it look's real cool. And my turtle loves it alot. well good luck.
