I live in Oregon right now and im 18 and pregnant. i have Oregon Health Plan because they give it to pregnant women.

I am unemployed and the OHP covers all of my doctor bills for my monthly check-ups for the baby.

BUT I have to move to Idaho and I was wondering if there is any health insurance there thats like OHP that you can get for being pregnant. i need to know cause i still need monthly check-ups and i cant afford it without Insurance like that!

  1. Two easy suggestions:

One is that you can remain in Oregon until the baby is safe.

A second suggestion is to maintain a residence in Oregon and drive back for your check-ups.

Either will work, assuming you are not willing to contact the county health department where you will next reside.

The county folks have a lot more knowledge than most of us her on Yahoo.   And you can depend upon them...not us.  We are hidden by the Internet.  You should rely on accurate information.

    Please!

  2. I wish my advice could be helpful. And here is a good resource.Check it up.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  3. Yes, there is the same type of plan in Idaho, here is the website: http://www.healthandwelfare.idaho.gov/si...

I would suggest contacting them prior to your move to find out what you need to do to get the paperwork started. It can take several months to process, and although most Medicaid is retroactive 3 months you may have to pay the doctor bills first and then get reimbursed.

  4. That same welfare heatlh insurance that you have in Oregon, they have in Idaho.  So you'll have to re-apply for Medicaid in Idaho, to cover the pregnancy.
