Question about implant removal

hey everyone. i am getting the implant out on the 11th august to try for a baby,

but i want to wait for a month to get a proper period before really trying.

is it ok to have s*x a few days before i get the implant out or will i end up getting pregnant as sperm lives for 3 days

they do say to use a condom 7days before you get it removed. my friend got her removed and never got a period before she found out she was pregnant, but when i got mine removed i didn't come on my period until about 6,7 weeks later and still not pregnant 4months later.
