Hi everyone, I had a question about insurance for me....okay heres the scoop. I married my husband about a month ago. i start on his insurance on the first. now my question is if i'm pregnant next week can they deny me pregnancy insurance because i conceived while off health insurance. Or what do i do, i have no clue how to tell them because i really need to them to pay...they pay 85% of the pregnancy and it would really help us. If i'm not pregnant then i guess i don't have a problem but my body has been acting really weird more than usual, idk if it's because i think i'm pregnant and i'm just experiencing what everyone is telling me on here or what i read but i cant eat curtian foods anymore and i get sick at night not throw up but not nausea it just comes and goes it's like i'm sick hungry because everything i look at seems to be disgusting to me. I just starting taking prenatal vitamins and i'm wondering if i could have little side effects to them? Sorry this is really long...but i would love to here everyone's suggestions, please dont say anything mean i've been really emotional too..thanks

  1. By google to collect some related information or you may try using answer engines like yahoo answer or yedda.com to get some related ideas.nonetheless,If you prefer some direct resource, here is a good one from my own experience.http://health-insurance.onlinebestoffer....

  2. Almost EVERY insurance out there will pay for pregnancy as a pre-existing condition.  But-- they do not go off of conception date, they usually go off of LMP date.  Also- it could be a benefit to call your insurance provider and ask them about pre-existing conditions.  They will be up front with you and then, you'll be able to decide on whether you need to find a better insurance company or just try to go at it alone.  No matter what, calling or reading the benefit material is always what to do first.  I'm pretty sure you're okay since it's pregnancy, but better safe than sorry.

  3. I just got new insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and my pregnancy is not considered a Pre-existing condition. I am 24 weeks

Not all insurance companies consider it a pre-existing condition. You need to call them and ask. I called and asked before I switched to that company.

  4. Ins. should pay

  5. Just make sure your husband or baby's father isn't Scott Peterson.

  6. Get Medicare. It is made to help people who really need it and can't afford it. Dont be ashamed, and will cover doc appts, perscriptions, the birth it self and a lot more!! ... It might actually be medicaide

  7. Unfortunately, if you are already pregnant, it will probably be considered a pre-existing condition. Insurance companies are shady that way. Depending on your income, you could qualify to get state aid. If not, there are a lot of OB/GYN's out there that do work out payment plans. But maybe you will be one of the lucky ones with good insurance that will cover you! Good luck and feel free to email me anytime! Congrats on the wedding!

  8. I got pregnant before starting my new insurance...I know personally that my insurance company does not consider pregnancy to be a pre-existing condition...I would call the insurance company and ask them...Have you confirmed with your doctor yet?!

  9. It depends on which insurance company. Some do not consider pregnancy a pre-existing condition but some might. Go to the website of the insurance company that your husband has and go to FAQ and it should tell you there.
