This is a true story - A teacher saw someone in the student parking lot that didn't look like a student. He called to the person. The person ran carrying something. The teacher ran to the parking lot, saw a car window had been smashed in and the stereo had been pulled out of the console. He ran after the thief. As he did so the teacher pulled out his cell phone and called the police to report the crime. He was chasing the thief but wasn't actually trying to catch him. He was just keeping track of the thief's location and telling the police on the phone. The thief was bound and determined not to get caught so he kept running... and running... and running. What the thief didn't know was that the school teach is a competitive marathon runner and the thief wasn't going to be able to outrun him. Long story short the thief ran until he passed out and the teacher stayed nearby until the police arrived.

I'll post the question in the details section.

  1. I pictured the teacher as being black because you said he's a marathon runner.  That's a sport dominated by Kenyans.

Also my dad once saw Ben Johnson (the man who once had the tainted title of world's fastest man) chase after, and obviously catch, a guy who tried to break into his car.

But maybe if I was black I would be offended.
