Is it ok to put a child in the back seat of a car with the shoulder belt under their arm?

  1. no no no they are not safe if they are under 4'9 but them in a booster SEAT!!!


  2. NO, if the child is to small then you need to put them on a booster seat, if you had an accident the child could get a serious injury because the seat belt wasn't worn properly.

    If the adult seatblet does not fit them then they need to be in a booster or carseat.

  7. When the shoulder belt is under the arm, it completely changes the affect that the seatbelt is supposed to have in case of an accident. The belt supports the torso as it is pushed forward (if hit from behind). If it's not there to support, then the child has a much greater risk of injury.
