How do you handle leathercraft dyes, cements, and finishes safely?

A lot of these are water based today and do not need any special requirements.  Have been using them for over 20 years without any particular problems.  Some finishes are solvent based in which case they shold be used in a well ventilated room with a mask.  You can wear surgical gloves if your skin is sensitive.

Wear gloves, respirator, eye protection and work in a well ventaliated room or outside.
