If you want to build strength without a lot of bulk is it better to use lighter weights? Also, can anyone suggest a good routine to do every other day for my arms? I'd like to see quick results :)

  1. lighter weights with more reps enhances fat loss...go for it!

  2. I have an answer! you have to get up to 10 pound weights and do about 10-20 reps a day for 6 months. (be patient, the results will reveal themselves in about 2 months)

  3. Firstly Yea lift lighter weights but u have to do more reps

Secondly good routine just remember only work your major muscle areas once a week biceps are included

Some Good exercises can be found at Bodybuilding.com on the supersite i find this good because u can pick from what ever area you want to work on and wat equipment you want and it will tell you exercises with videos

My Personal Fav is the preacher Curl unsing a angled bench standing at highest point of bench using a drumbell lay your tricep flat on bench and curl.. simple

  4. i dunt no about a routine but light weights more repititions is for toned mucles, like definition not buffness**

  5. Push ups and dips are really good for arms.  I've used light hand weights for curls, military presses, etc. in addition to the push-ups and dips, and its worked well for me.  My arms are stronger and toned, but not bulky.  The routine I use is from a DVD, Power 90 (90 day boot camp).  You could probably get it on Ebay or Amazon.  A lot of the exercise includes squats and lunges too, so be aware of that.

Women don't build bulk as easily as men, so you probably don't have to be too concerned with that, unless you are really doing a power work out on a consistent basis.

  6. no, this will only build endurance, not strenght.. if you want to build strenght youre going to have to use heavy weights so that you can only perform about 6-8 reps per set and perform about 3 sets... sorry, but no quick results for any muscles... youre going to have to do it like everyone else, weeks and months of weight lifiting.. unless you want to cheat using roids.. but i dont recommend it
