Question:

Question about light bulbs, sockets and plugs

I purchased this waterfall table with spotlight, and I think that the

light is too bright for it, so upon taking out the bulb, I found a two

prong light bulb (which I have never seen before) and it has the

following written on it:'Lianheng'

(which I know is the company name in China) followed By: JCDR

110V 35W then CE It has a two prong inset where it plugs in.

I am wondering if someone can tell me, PLEASE, what I need to

be sure of upon replacing this bulb, if there is any lower watts or

different colored bulbs available for this odd bulb, and last, can I

maybe paint the bulb a different color, but with what? Lots Of

????, Hopefully, someone can help me out! (What does the CE

stand for, and can I only use a 110V or it does not matter? Thanks!

  1. the only thing that i can tell you for sure is; yes, you will have to stay with a 110 volt bulb. that said, try your yellow pages for a lighting supply store and check with them as to your options for lower wattage and color choices. i've come accross a few odd bulbs myself lately, and my local lighting store person even can tell me what the bulb was originally designed for, (most of the time, it's not what it's being used for in my case!). they may even have some sort of "shade" or surround that would be a better way to "change" the color of the bulb, instead of painting it.

i hope the people at the lighting store near you are as helpful as the ones near me. if you don't have any luck with them, email me and i'll give you the name of the people i use and you can contact them.

                                                                   good luck, car dude.

  2. I suggest you go to a local lighting store. They most propably could help if they want to
