Question about lip piercing?

ive pierced my lip twice now...nd both times i had to take it out before it healed. [dont ask why...BUT its not bcuz of infection] N-E wayz, i heard that theres a nerve near the lip and if you pierce it you will go paralyzed on that side...true or myth? the reason why im asking is because im thinking about piercing it on my own...again. thank you!!!

true, but you have to extensively pierce it over and over again to actually find it...your good...

true, i really recomend seeing a  professional piercer because they know where and where not to pierce.

I dont believe you should be doing your own piercings, but hey! it is your body and i do support not wasting your money when you can just do things yourself..right? BUT im not sure about the whole paralyzing thing..the whole tongue one is a lie so maybe the lip one is also.

No, it's not a myth.

The major nerve is located in the middle of your lip.

I've had my lip pierced in the middle of my lip unprofessionally, but by someone else when I was 14/15. Nothing happened but I dont recommend doing it yourself.
