Question about loan app for buying a home.?

Me and my husband just noticed that on our app to get approval for home the loan officer checked that we both were american citizens. My husband is a permanent resident she didn't check that box for him she checked that he is an american citizen. We are now done with everything and are going to close on our new home next week. Is this a big deal should we tell them this needs to be changed or does it really matter?

  1. Get as much resource as you can maybe is one  option, however it could be quite time consuming, here is one resource i have had good experience.http://home-mortgage.online-tips4u.info/...

  2. No, it's not a big deal.

As long as you and your husband are at minimum, permanent residents, that is all that matters.

The loan officer, even though what he did was wrong, was trying to prevent you from showing additional paperwork to prove it.

  3. If the loan has been approved, I wouldn't worry about it too much.  I would make sure that the Title Company has the correct information though it may delay the actual recording and transfer of title.

However, it WOULD be best you clarified, the Lender will need a copy of his permanent resident card.  DO IT NOW, it may be a quick fix.  Especially since they have already approved you two for the loan with the same Social Security numbers; nothing in the loan should really be changing.
