  1. lol  a whippit lasts a few seconds.  lsd lasts all day (as in 9 hours or so)

I loved it, but you HAVE GOT to be in a good mood, or else it will be horrible.  I knew a person that had to go to a psych hospital becase he took too much and had a bad trip.

Looking back, I don't recommend it because of all the risks.

  2. Keep a sound mindset and make sure you are in a stable peaceful environment. Don't mix with any other drugs except possibly cannabis. Make sure you have a good friend with you. Use common sense. Also it would be handy to have some valium or xanax or something in case you need to abort a trip. Good tripping :)

Remember, acid doesn't fry your brain or lodge in your spine or cause flashbacks and quick fact, nobody has died!

Don't take it though if you have a serious emotional disorder.

  3. You must be in a good mood. Good mood = good trip. Crappy mood = worst however many hours of your life. I suggest you get a babysitter. By babysitter I mean a good friend that isn't going to do acid with you, but will be there in case something goes wrong. Most important, enjoy yourself!

  4. If by whip it trip you mean whippet, then not at all.

It's going to be absolutely necessary that you make sure you're in a safe environment that you're familiar with and that you have a sober person with you at all times to make sure that you don't do anything you really, really shouldn't.

Beyond that, make sure that you're not stressed or depressed because it's not going to neutralize your feelings like alcohol, it's going to intensify what you're already feeling. LSD trips are a lot like dreams in that stimulus incorporation plays a large role, so make sure that for the day or so before you plan on tripping you do something you love. "Program yourself" for the trip with good, lighthearted (preferably fantasy for me) movies, a book you love, and if you can try to take a few hours to walk around in the woods, you'll probably be thanking yourself later.

From personal experience, early evening is the best time to start a trip. Make sure that you "babyproof" the room you and anyone else that will be under the influence will be in, because even though you will still be able to bring yourself back to rational thought for simple things and won't be likely to pick up a knife and cut off your hand, you might literally trip over things and get hurt. Another reason for this is for your mental security about the trip, if you worry about it and freak out over the possibility of getting hurt or of having a bad trip, things are going to go downhill in a hurry. This way you know for certain that everything is set up properly. Make sure you have good tripping music (something ambient is always nice, dance is generally good, if you can download or buy the album try Collide's Vortex/Xetrov. Search "Wings of Steel" for an example of what they sound like) and a comfortable place to lay. You're probably not going to want to be moving around much in the later stages of the trip. Have your sitter make sure that bongs and cigarette lighters are well away, and that anyone who wants to smoke is well-supervised. I have one friend who gets "imaginary cigarettes" and "imaginary food" when they drop acid, it's funny now but it can cause some headaches for your sitter. You'll want to keep the lighting low and make sure that nobody will come in and turn the light on full blast or you won't be very happy about it, dilated pupils don't like bright light.

It being your first time, trip-toys might cause a little bit of sensory overload (to me, tripping is most enjoyable with nothing but good music and sometimes a pen and paper) but good ones are silly putty, hourglasses, those goofy oil-and-water things you turn upside down, and this weird electronic light game called Lights-Out that you might still be able to find in some toystores.

If things start to go wrong (if you've done what I said and also mentally prepared yourself for it you should be fine) just remember that it won't last forever, and you're going to be okay. Make sure your sitter is prepared for the worst and knows how to talk you down, you can find some information online about good ways to keep a tripping person happy.

Have fun, and be safe. :)

  5. Alot of my friends do acid, all that can be suggested is be with friends that will take care of you, in a peaceful environment and turn off your moblie. recently my friend had a really bad trip because his girlfriend SMS'd him asking "why are you on acid in the middle of the day?" later he told her he didn't like her anymore!

  6. Read this, is a good guide from the sixties. it may be helpful.

  7. I never took it before and not planning on it either. Allot of my friends took it, one of my friends says 1 hit doesn't do too much but make you feel real happy, my other friend said he took 1 hit and saw spongebob.

And my great uncle took 1 hit in the 70's and the tree's came to life and chased him, I guess you could call that a bad trip. he's 70 years old now he always talks about it when he drinks. This one girl I know loved the stuff.

But when I really ask in detail what's it like, they say it's unexplainable, I'm not sure I would want to take a drug that's unexplainable.
