Question about lucid dreaming and contacting dead relatives?

My mother passed away years ago. It seems like when I get worried I am constantly thinking "Mom please help me. Please talk to me". One time a psychic person who had no knowledge of what I think said out of the blue "Your mom can't help you"...with no further explanation. I was trying recently to do lucid dream and contact her by thinking about "I want to talk to my mom" when I go to sleep. Nothing. Then I asked a question about a TV actor that came back and the first person answering said "Hi sweetie, No one comes back for good. Love Mommy". So I thought that is odd, but my mom would never call me sweetie nor sign "mommy"...she would sign "mom" and the next day I checked and they changed it to "mom" on the answer here on YA...what was that about and does anyone know why the psychic said "Your mom can't help you"?

The 'psychic' said that because they are not psychic and have to make up something that their clients will think is meaningful. Everybody has a mother so saying something ambiguous about mothers is an easy hit.
