I recently took up boxing and really enjoy it. I'm very ambitious and in the spirit of the 2008 olympics started to wonder what it takes or what you have to do to become an olympian boxer for the USA? And is four years enough training/practice/expirence? It seems like most olympians have been training for a very long time if not their entire life.

  1. It depends on your age and the amount of time you put into it.

  2. I think four years is enough experience because some people who go into the olympics sometimes has less experience than that. It all depends on your skills and how good you are.

  3. A certain amount is going to be devotion to training for years, but you also have to have the talent to begin with.  If you are not among the best at your chosen sport you will not be able to beat those who are and complete in the Olympic trials to earn a spot on the team..

  4. odds probably wont make it to the Olympics in less all u do is eat, drink, sleep, go to school if u are still are in school and train with 5 minute breaks every 2 hours.
