so for this problem it says that you earn $50 a week and that you need $600 and then it asks you to make a projection on the number of weeks it will take [to earn $600]. my main question is what is a projection?

remember: this is math related!

thank you <3

  1. In this case, "projection" means best guess. The answer is 12 weeks. So the projected time it will take to earn $600 is 12 weeks.

  2. 600/50=12

It is projected that it will take 12 weeks to earn $600.

Projected is: To calculate, estimate, or predict (something in the future), based on present data or trends. from

  3. projection here as an estimation/ calcuation

so, the question is to calculation about the number of weeks needed to earn $600, consdiering you get $50 in a week :)

the ans is 12, hope you figre it out

  4. A projection is an estimate of future experience/scenario based on current best estimates basis. In this case, it is assuming that you'll be able to earn $50 a week from now until you earn $600. Of course the future may turn out differently than the projection (you may earn more than $50 or less, depending on your condition), but in projection, we can only make an estimate of the future based on what we have now.

    Simply work out as follows:

    Week Accumulated Amount

    1 $50

    2 $100

    3 $150

    ...

Of course you can also set up an equation to solve for it. The amount accumulated at week n is $50*n. You need to find out the value of n which gives you $50 * n = $600.

  5. This is really an arithmetic problem. A projection is an estimate of something in the future. Assuming no raises or taxes or spending of the weekly income, the answer is:

    $600

    -------- = 12 weeks.

    $50
