Question about mats in the food industry...?

where i work at, we do food prep for airlines...assembly line work. we are on our feet in a cooler for 7 hours with no mats under our feet. one boss said they are not getting mats because it causes listeria. now my question is, if we are on our feet that long, aren't they required to give us mats and if they are who do i complain about it too??

the listeria claim may be valid-i don't work in the food industry.  I know it's not your responsibility, but do some web research on better mats that are bacteria resisitant, then take your findings to your boss, or HR or somebody who will pay attention.
