I would like to know... What made you decide to be what you are and what are the different areas in science that one has to study in order to become what he is...

  1. I'm in the middle of actually applying to medical school as I write this. As of right now I'm a microbiologist and I want to make it in the MD/PhD program to become a physician-scientist. I'm not sure what kind of doctor you want to become, but whatever it is you should! The world needs more doctors. To apply to medical school it is recommended to have a science degree that is relevant in biology and chemistry. One of my friends that I know got into medical school with a business degree but you need to take prerequisite courses in what I mentioned above. For example you need (for some institutions in regards to chemistry) to take biochem, and in-order to take biochem you need to take organic chem (I) and organic chem (II). And as for why I want to be a doctor is really simple, I wanted to help people and I LOVE a challenge!!! ^_^
