Question about modeling goals...

Ever since I was 14 I wanted to be a fashion model. Not commercial, more high fashion or maybe athletic model. I've been working on my measurements. I've been a 23 waist before right now I'm 24 1/2. And I've been a 35 hips before right now I'm 36 1/2. I'm only 5'8'' though. I want to get these measurements by February - think I can do it? I've done all my homework trust me. Do these goals sound impossible or ridiculous? What do I do to get known? I'm kind've lost.

  1. If you put a lot of effort into it, I don't see any reason why you can't meet your measurement goals by February. As far as making it as a model, well, that's a little bit more cloudy. I'm sure it doesn't take a genius to figure out that modeling is an incredibly hard field to get into and be successful in. With the measurements you're hoping to achieve and with your current height you definitely have the body for it (especially in the areasyou're looking at, but I would encourage you to look at commercial work).

If I were you I would:

    1. start working with GOOD photographers you trust on a TFP basis (time for print) and develop a portfolio - I'm stressing the GOOD here, look at a photographer's work and be choosy about who you work with because there are a 1000 "photographers" out there willing to shoot a pretty young girl but only a few will give you the images you're looking for

    2. take this portfolio and go around to local agencies and at least get a critique

    3. from there try to get agency representation, working jobs, and eventually plan on moving to a larger market where there is more opportunity

  2. Its not just things like that, you dont have to be pretty either!

Its on things like, the symetry of your face and stuff . .

    =]

  3. If that is you in the picture, I do not think you have the looks for a high fashion model maybe a catalog model, I am not being rude (I think you are very pretty) at all but if you do not look like a weird skeleton alien you won't make it..

  4. It's possible if you find a great diet and exercise routine and stick with them. On regards on how you can get known, everyone starts small. When you start, do your best, work extra hard, and if the people your working with like you, they'll end up talking about you and eventually other agencies will hear about you and might try to import you.
