Question about money???

ok so i am 13 and my mom is going to take me and my little sister out of town to go school clothes shopping... but the thing is that i don't have any money. but i do have money in my bank account... like over $1,000... so i want to take at least 200.00 out so i can have enough money to go shopping.. but i don't think my dad will let me... so what should i do.

You should discuss this with your parents, and do whatever they say.

If your parents really won't let you touch your money (which they shouldn't).  You should tell them, Mom and Dad i appreciate you looking out for me and my money, but can we at least make a smart decision with my money and put it in a Roth IRA, so that 1000 dollars can be worth over 200,000 dollars by the time i retire.

at thirteen you should not be required to buy your own clothes especially for school. let your parents pay for them, and if there is something you absolutly are going to die if you don't get, ask permission to use your own money.
