Question about moving truck./van rates?

My mother in law will be moving from Riverdale GA to Pochatoula, LA to stay with her sister. The only possessions she has is a bedroom suite and her clothing. I called Uhaul and the one way rate is $680. I called some car rental places to see about a cargo van one way but they dont do one way with vans or they do have one way but have no vans. Is there another way to get down there without it costing an arm and a leg

Yeah one find a friend who owns a semi who can take it there for a fee. Or rent a truck take the stuff down there and bring the truck back it sucks but if your saving money its your option.  Personally I would probably pay the $680 or find a friend with a semi who would do it for possibly cheaper.  Good Luck
