  1. No there's no way you can tell that early. You have to be at least 16 weeks before you can determine the gender and even this is early. What you saw was probably the umbilical cord.

  2. I am also 12 weeks and a couple days now! And no it won't be able to tell yet what your baby s*x is. I have a picture of my baby and yes it looks pointy down there, only because its not done developing yet!

I am very excited to find out also, I am hoping for a girl this time around. I have one son and two step sons so we are crossing are fingers!!lol

    Good luck!

  3. At 12 weeks you would never be able to tell.

    Trust me.

The p***s has not protruded enough to be noticed. And all the baby's anatomy is still very very small.

It might very well be a boy. But what you are looking at now surely is not a p***s. Perhaps its the umbilical cord.

15 weeks is the earliest they will attempt to tell you.

  4. I know exactly how you feel. With my last pregnancy I swear I saw a p***s, and I knew it wasnt the umbilicle cord because It showed where that was. Honestly, I dont know what it was that I saw, all I knew is i thought it was a boy.

Now I have a gorgeous 8 Month old Daughter. I'm guessing you really want a boy. =] Its still too early, but good luck!

  5. 12 weeks is in fact too early to tell, but the genitals are already present, most likely you will have another ultrasound around 18 weeks and you will know for sure!!!

    Good luck and Gos Bless!!!

  6. I would play it safe

  7. she was right that is too early to tell. 16 weeks is usually the earliest a qualified sonographer can see for sure

  8. I have heard of sonographers being able to tell very early on.  However it is very difficult to tell, so rarely will they tell you what their guess is until they know for sure.  So you may be right.  I was told that if it is a boy the parts will look like an apple with a stem....or a turtle.  My babies, I am pregnant with twins, were very stubborn when it came to letting us know what they were.  I did finally see the turtle....and a hot dog bun.  So I am having a girl and a boy.  Very early on my nurse mid wife told me by their heart beats that she thought I was having a girl and a boy.  So I wasn't too shocked when I found out she was right.
