Question about my camera.?

i just got my camera a couple months ago .

its an Olympus FE-220

And now it comes on but the lens wont retract it makes a grinding noise and shuts off .

is there any way i can fix this without sending it back??

plz help .

Assuming the battery is charged, it sounds like something has either broken, or the zoom mechanism may be broken.  

Have you tried pushing gently on the lens barrel as it is retracting?

Call the Olympus help line .. it is still under warranty.

Grinding noises mean YOU cannot repair it yourself without violating the warranty
