Question about my cell phone which i broke? ?

Question

I dropped my cell phone in water and its been about two days and I turned it on and it goes to the start up screen and then it just says downloading VX5400, ive tried it multiple times and even let the screen run for an extended period of time and nothing happens, help appreciated

my fone is an lg vx5400

Sounds like your phone is trying to load its operating system.  Unless it has a way to obtain that OS, it can't go any further.  It's just as though your computer had lost Windows, and didn't have a source to get THAT.  You'll either need to find some kind of source for that OS (not very likely), or you'll need to ship it back to the manufacturer and have them load it, which may cost a few bucks.  You'll almost certainly be better off simply buying a new phone, and getting Verizon to put it on their network in place of your old one.

when you dropped it in water did you take the battery out and let it dry out? sometimes you can do that and take a hair dryer on low heat and dry the circuit board and it work other wise there is nothing you can do except get a new phone. if you have contract with someone and it has insurance they will replace it for free or fraction of the cost.

you can bring it to a verizon store and hav them look at it or just break it (water damage itsnt covered) again by dropping it or something and get a new 1
