Question about my contacts

i just got my soft lens contacts today.... and i have saline solution for rinsing, and clear care solution for disinfecting overnight...

i have one question though...

when i store my contacts in my contact lens case, what type of solution do i have to put with my contacts in the case?

not disinfectant, because clear care disinfectant solution must be with the lens for over 6 hours... so im guessing its either water, saline, or something else?

  1. Overnight storage must be in the case in which you use the clear care.  The Clear Care will convert overnight to pure saline.  Use of saline from a bottle without using Clear Care is dangerous.  NEVER use regular water under any circumstances!!!  If you're talking about storing your lenses for any length of time during the day, it would be safer to use Opti-Free or ReNu, both of which are multi-purpose disinfectants.  However, most patients on Clear Care need to ask their own eye doctor about this first.  Under normal circumstances, a person disinfects their lenses in Clear Care overnight and then wears them all day so I don't know exactly what you mean by storage.

  2. Use an all purpose solution...works the best...but make sure you take them out every night....I didn't for a while an got really bad red eyes that hurt
