Question about my hdmi cable!?

I got my new hdmi cable two days ago. I use it to connect my lcd hdtv and home theater system. the question is i can get audio from my home theater system but I also want to know can I get audio from my lcd hdtv when I watch movie. Another question is that when I watch regular tv, if I want to get audio from my home theater syetem, do i need another audio cable to hock up my tv and my home theater system or I can use the same hdmi cable to got audio?

Hmm. I would say it depends on the reciever you have. Mine allows for multiple audio/video inputs of all types to be sent out over the HDMI cable. Check your manual and you should find out. More than likely, it is a setting in the reciever's menu that you have to turn on.

Just be aware that some recievers will allow RCA inputs to be output to HDMI, some do not, they are merely HDMI passthroughs.
