Question about my mitsubishi eclipse gst..

i have an infiniti stock cassette player./radio.. but theres a CD button on it.. but no cd slot.. then i noticed a small black box under the passenger seat..and it says infinit on it.. but no cd slot.. what is that?

A cd changer is an option in the 95-99 Eclipses and that's the reason why those buttons are there. The cd changer should be in the luggage compartment if you have one. The black box underneath the front passenger seat is an ejection booster for unwanted passengers. Lol!!! Just kidding! It's actually the amplifier for your stereo system.

That's most likely your amp.  Most Mitsu have their amps under the passenger seat.  The CD player could be a changer depending on the car model you have.  If there is a changer, it should be behind the rear seat.  if it's not there, then it most likely has been removed by someone.
