Question about my mom, and song singing at the wedding. :)

Okay, so my mom is getting married next month, and she wants me to sing at her wedding reception. I tried to find a lovey-dovey song that i liked, that wasn't terribly old, and that fit my range (i am 14 and a girl..if that's needed haha) but i am still having trouble. Any suggestions here?

Also i have this idea. My mom and i kinda have this inside joke song to Tommy Tutone's 8675309/Jenny, and i was thinking of telling my Future Step-Dad (and no one else, only me and him will know) that i was going to sing that song for her and to bring up good times and laugh at the fact that its me singing it. I thought it would be funny, and a nice surprise seeing as how she would think i was going to be singing a Different song! :D Do you think she would like this? It sounds good to me, but i want other people's opinion on it.

haha thanks.

  1. http://www.365weddingsongs.com if you can find any wedding songs here and remember to rate my post if it is helpful.

    Thanks.

  2. What range do you sing? What style?

I'd say something fun and upbeat would be good, but we can't be more specific unless we know what would work.

  3. I think your mom would love it and personally thats what matters most....So what if the guests dont get it....Its for your mom right? I say go for it....Or else sing a couple versus of "Jenny Jenny" and then go into something more lovey dovey  But i like the idea and i really think your mom will too

  4. Sounds good, but the only thing is that the guests might be kind of confused because it's an inside joke. You might want to try a song like Shania Twain's From This Moment. http://www.popular-wedding-songs.com/wed... has the lyrics and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8qj2MzIl... has the video. Good luck and congrats to your mom/step-dad! :)
