Question about my new passport.....?

I'm traveling to Italy and Greece in June and I just received my renewed passport in the mail today.

Is my passport ready to use for international travel as of today? Do I need to call the embassy to activate the passport or anything? Or is it automatically valid already?

I dont know what passport you're holding, but if its either a UK or US one its good to go as soon as you sign it. Have a good trip!

I would have just given them a thumbs up but my account got suspended so I had to make a new one and I'm just an insignificant little Level 1-er now.  (cant give thumbs up/down!)
