Question about my period/birth control shots?

Okay, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year. I took the birth control shot before when we didnt want to get pregnant and now that we are ready we are having some problems. They say that it can take a year and a half for you to get pregnant after you stop taking it and some people have heard up to two years. I didnt have a period for a year, and now I thought I was back on track. But I have been on my period constantly for two weeks today. Is there anything that the doctor can do to stop it? Has anyone else had these problems with the birth control shot?

  1. I took Depo shot last year, and its been about 7 months TTC. I finally started getting a regular cycle. I have had so many weird side effects including irregular AF, but the OB says its just my body trying to regulate again. My sister has been getting AF every other week for the past 4 months after Depo so I think its "normal" as a side effect. Depo is terrible, and it messes you up pretty good. I am supposed to ovulate next week, and hopefully it will be my month (and yours too).

Good Luck, and lots of Baby Dust!
