I was wondering if there is any way to erase music from your itunes library in the computer but still be able to keep the music in your ipod. My computer is running out of memory and to clean up space, I deleted some songs from the computer. However, when I downloaded more music and tried to sync it to my ipod........all of the previous music that used to be there had disappeared! This was disappointing as I had to download everything yet again to sync it with the ipod the way it used to be. Can anyone help? I believe there has to be a way to do this, but ipods don't come with manuals so this is tricky!

  1. If you have an ipod touch or iphone this is somewhat possible I know how to keep the music on the computer but not the ipod? You may want to speak with the apple techs on the phone go to http://www.apple.com/support/

    I hope this helps

  2. yes u will

  3. Actually this is how iPod works. It actually syn with the iTunes library to download songs. It will remove all the songs in your iPod and copy all the current iTunes Library to it. So when u delete songs on your iTunes, it is reflected on your iPod. This is one of the disadvantages for the iPod.
