Question about my tattoo.?

Okay, so I've just gotten my first tattoo this past saturday. I've been washing it with antibacterial soap and using moisturizer a few times a day. I have gotten it a little damp yesterday, but it wasn't much, and I definitely didn't soak it...it was basically the same amount of water as it takes to clean it with the soap, if even that. But lately i've noticed that the tattoo artist might've missed a few small spots. They're barely noticable, but if you look close you can see that there's a few tiny specks of bare skin visible. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for it to start coming off, that's why I'm guessing either he meant it that way to produce shadowing, or just didn't see that it needed filled in more because it was bleeding at the time. But today, when i just washed it with soap again, I noticed a little orange color on the paper towel, when i patted it dry. And now i'm freaking out that it's gonna come off. Is this normal or am i going to need to go get it filled in or something?

  1. That is normal. After it is all healed you can go and get it re-filled.

  2. That happens. It's normal for an artist to miss going deep enough in some spots for the ink to take. That's why most shops give free touch-up sittings for the first two or three months. And if you read it, it's usually in the contract you sign before they'll tattoo you.

  3. yeah sometimes you see color in the scabs of your tattoo but its not washing off.  I've never had to have a tattoo touched up and i have one full sleeve and one half.  i would go somewheres else to avoid the second trip

  4. its not going to come off. its your body rejecting the ink, thats normal. your tattoo will never be as bright as the first day you got it as your body will reject some of the ink as it is a foreign substance. unfortunately sometimes specs are missed. after a month of healing go back to the tattoo place and ask them to touch it up. they will usually do this for free.

  5. some color will be lost during the healing process, this is normal. you might need a touch up when its done healing, most places do this for free, providing you followed thier aftercare properly.

  6. If it is still healing don't worry about it. I thought the same with mine. But when it healed all the way it looks great. And if he missed a little he will probably do the touch up for free.
