Question about my teeth..

I have had braces for under 2 years, and I am supposed to be getting them off in my next appointment or the one after that. My teeth are perfect its my jaw I am concerned about, are your teeth supposed to match perfectly? like are they supposed to match together when you bite down? Cause my don't the left side is off by like a milameter, but the other side is off by about 3..

Is this normal? Will they wait to take my braces off?

they have been trying to fix my jaw for the whole time I have had my braces on, and it' s frustrating me that they havn't fixed it yet...

If you had absoloutly perfect teeth, then they should touch when you bite together. But like nobody has perfect teeth. I have a brace too and I got it to improve my bite, because like none of my teeth touched when I bit together. It has improved alot, but its not perfect, if your teeth are only a few millimeters off, then they probably wont wait to take the brace off =)

your teeth whould be in proper occlusion when you are finished with orthodontics.  orthodontists use the term "finishing" a case to include the minor adjustments needed to refine the bite.  do not get your braces off until the bite issue is settled or you could be in for a lifetime of bite problems

I have a checkup here in 15 minutes,  I don't think that is normal, your suppose to have just a little overbite I think. My teeth are all jacked up and I never wear my elastics so Im about to take another b*i*t*c*hen
