Question about my water turtle

Question

I have had my turtle for about 3 years, all I have ever fed it wa turtle food & fish. She has lived inside ALL of her life. Can she get sick if it all of a sudden eats things like insects, moths & things like that? because today my dad got mad because I didn't want to feed my turtle a moth. & I don't know what to think.

HELP PLEASE!

I work at Petland and I can tell you no, she will not get sick.  Turtles can eat turtle food, feeder fish, lettuce or insects.  We feed our water turtles crickets and lettuce.  You can feed her a moth if you want, I don't think she'll like it, but she definitely won't get sick.
