Question:

Question about nearsightedness and farsightedness?

I went to the eye doctor and I had to wear glasses for distance. Then things were getting blurry far away so I went back and the doctor said I needed glasses for close up. The pair of glasses seem blurry still. I want to have to wear glasses for distance still. Is there anyway that the eye doctor can make your vision for distance?

  1. It is strange that you would go from being nearsighted (needing glasses for distance) to being farsighted (needing glasses for near).  Not sure what is going on.  Sometimes glasses take a week or so to get adjusted to, but if your vision remains blurry at all (distance or near) with your glasses, let your optometrist know.  Whether you are nearsighted or farsighted, you should be able to have clear vision at all distances with glasses.

  2. no if you have both
