is it true that if you get a ticket on the ohio turnpike and you are an out-of-state driver that your liscense won't be penalized? a friend of mine got a ticket (91 mph) and wanted to fight the ticket so that the points don't hit his liscense. he has a business where he has a lot of vehicles in his name and can't afford to have his insurance rise. by the way he resides in virginia. today he was told that if you get a ticket on the turnpike there won't be any points added to your license because it's governed by a seperate entity and all they want is their money. i'm thinkin to myself that can't be true otherwise how did they give you a court date? so is there any truth to this, and if so does this apply to all turnpikes? i am aware that there are a few turnpikes IN AMERICA that are owned by foreign countries, is this one of them and is this the reason why points won't hit your license on traffic violations?
