Okay I was watching ER's first season. I think it's one of the first few. Carter is following Susan around and they go to see an old man, or something. He was having chest pains and she refers to him as "doctor" I'm pretty sure Carter was a med student so why she call him a doctor? This was also the same episode he helped with those German tourist who had food poisoning. I'm just confused because Carter was a med student the first season so I don't understand why he would be called a doctor when he hasn't even graduated? Was it just a mistake from the writers or are med students referred to as doctors?

  1. I don't watch 'ER', but are you sure he was a med student... or a resident? Residents are doctors, students are students.
