Question about online Check in at airport?

I will be flying Air Tran Airways from Midway Airport in Chicago and it says that I can Check-in online 24 hrs ahead of time. I was wondering what I need to do after I check in line....what the process is like.

if you check in onliine, selected your seat, print your boarding pass, when you get to the airport, go thru security and proceed to the gate. you are all set to fly
